Our Story
The Verityx Founder: At 18, I found myself at a crossroads. I had just finished sixth form in the UK and was preparing for university, but the traditional university path quickly felt like it wasn’t for me. I was searching for accommodation to move closer to my university, which was two hours away from my family. The prices were shocking, and the idea of spending the next few years locked into a routine I didn’t feel passionate about started to feel suffocating. I knew I had to make a change.
I was born and raised in a small town in Greece, Naupaktos. My family was very poor and barely able to support us due to the bad economy Greece had at the time—and still has. I remember times when I was just a little boy, walking with my mum, and I’d find a one-euro coin on the ground. That single euro made me so excited because it meant I could go to the supermarket and buy my favourite yogurt. We could barely afford milk sometimes. Life was a struggle, but my parents always pushed forward.
After Greece, my family migrated to Albania for a better life, which helped us rise back up on our feet for a short time. But we were forced to go back to Greece due to the poor quality of life and economy we faced there—just like in Greece. After living for about four more years in Greece, we couldn’t take it anymore, so we migrated to the UK, settling in London. Now, I live alone in university accommodation while my parents are back home. Life here is still hard—barely survivable, just like in the other two countries we lived in—but here I am, taking matters into my own hands and taking action.
One night, around 2:45 AM on the 15th or 16th of August 2024, I was in my room at my parents' house when an idea hit me. It wasn’t about the logo I had spent two nights designing—it was a moment of clarity. At the time, I didn’t realize it, but that was the spark that would shape everything to come. After that, I pushed the thought aside, but I didn’t know the dream was still alive within me.
Here’s what my first ever logo looked like when I had just gotten started.
Fast forward to the cold night of December 1st, 2024, at 1 AM, in my university accommodation. I was alone in my room, two hours away from home, when the thought came rushing back: if I wanted a different life—one beyond the conventional university grind—I had to take control. This wasn’t just for me; it was for my family. My parents had emigrated to two different countries, working relentlessly so that I could have a better life. I owed it to them to make something happen.
That night, I couldn’t sleep. I spent the next week relentlessly working, staying up through sleepless nights, and putting everything I had into turning that dream into reality. By December 8th, I had finished building the Discord server for my community—an essential step toward creating the brand I envisioned.
Really, I was nobody. I never had anything crazy going on or any advantages over other people. I’m here simply to inspire you all—to show that it’s never too late to take action. A sand clock can only do one thing for the time in the middle, which represents the present: let the sand flow through. The advantage you have over that is that the present is in your hands. You have the power to make your present time as efficient as you possibly want, whereas a sand timer cannot. A sand timer can be flipped over, and its time can restart. But we? We only get one shot at this life. We can’t turn back the clock or reset our time. We have one go at this, for as far as we are on Earth.
This journey wasn’t just about building a business or making money—it was about showing the world that anything is possible if you commit to it and stay consistent. It was about breaking free from the path everyone expected me to follow and creating something that would support not just my future but also honour the sacrifices my parents made for me.
But I had moments of rock bottom. Sometimes, I thought my clothing brand was a stupid idea and that it would never work because of how many people already do it. The market is incredibly saturated, and those thoughts made me want to give up on this dream altogether. But then I realized that nobody had ever built a clothing brand purely to inspire others for free like I want to. Most people only start brands to sell you a course that probably won’t even work—it’s just their secondary business idea. That realization fuelled me to keep pushing forward.
Through this, I underwent a personal transformation. It made me realize that if you just commit to something and stay consistent, you will always see success.
A key lesson I’ve learned: no one is coming to save you—you have to do it yourself. And the truth is, no matter your background, religion, skin colour, nationality, or anything else, you can always make a difference if you truly want to.
My vision is simple: to build a clothing brand that reminds everyone buying from it that success doesn’t happen overnight. It doesn’t just come out of the blue unless you win the lottery. It takes relentless effort, persistence, and time.
So here’s my closing message to you: Life will always test you. It will push you to your limits, make you doubt yourself, and try to break you. But in those moments of doubt and struggle, you have two choices: let it consume you or let it fuel you. If there’s one thing I hope my story proves, it’s that no matter where you come from, no matter how tough your circumstances are, you have the power to change your destiny. The only difference between those who make it and those who don’t is the decision to never give up. Your time is now—make it count.
